HEAD Speed

HEAD Speed What has HEAD actually done to adapt it to modern tennis?

The court test: sensations count more than numbers

We tested the Speed 2026 directly on the court with Francesco Liucci, our ambassador, focusing on what really matters when the pace picks up. The initial impression wasn't of a more powerful racket, but of a more stable and predictable frame. On accelerated shots, the racket stays firm, absorbs impact better, and allows you to push without losing control. This is where the real change in approach compared to the past becomes apparent, and above all, the distance that now separates the Speed MP and Speed Pro.

What really changes in the 2026 Speed

The most significant change in the HEAD Speed 2026 isn't in power, but in how the racquet reacts when the pace picks up. At the heart of the design is the new Hy-Bor technology, a boron and carbon composite inserted into the frame structure to increase stability on high-intensity shots. On the court, this translates into a racquet that twists less on impact, remains more stable on acceleration, and delivers a cleaner, more predictable response, even when the shot isn't perfect. It's not a feeling of greater rigidity, but of greater control of the movement. Completing the package are Auxetic 2.0, which improves feel on impact, and Directional Drilling, which expands the sweet spot and makes impact more forgiving. All this is wrapped up in a new asymmetrical design in pearl white and metallic blue-black, with a matte finish, which underscores the range's premium positioning.
