Rafael Nadal was born for tennis. Since the age of 4 he followed his uncle Toni, who introduced him to this wonderful sport. Consistency, humility and determination are the elements that forge a champion and Rafa has always had them, like when, at 15, he set foot on the first court as a professional.

The birth of a myth

The tank top, the shorts and a completely different style from what we were used to until that moment: Rafael Nadal enters the world of tennis determined to change the rules of the game. Many loved him right away, others, at least at the beginning, struggled to understand him. Among them, Roger Federer, who in March 2004, as world number 1, was defeated by the young Spaniard, who was not yet of age at the time. It was their first meeting and the beginning of a legendary rivalry. Record after record, Nadal went on to win 92 titles, including 14 Roland Garros. It is thanks to the French Open that he received the title of "King of Clay", his favorite court. A career studded with successes, challenges and major injuries, which stopped him, but always and only momentarily. Willpower and humility, distinctive traits of Nadal, have always helped him get up and return to the court even stronger. Now Spain has welcomed him for his last appearance as a professional and to thank him for what he has given to this sport.
